Both men are now in a hotel, uncertain when they’ll return home because the damage may take months to repair. A collapsed culvert on nearby private land is thought to have worsened the flooding. 🌊
The community spirit shines through with friends setting up a fundraising page for the duo, after many of their belongings were destroyed. Nigel is overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown, saying, “There are a lot of people worse off than us. I’m grateful for the donations, but if my insurance comes through, I plan to donate the funds to others in need.” 🙏❤️
