Meet 80-year-old Elizabeth Morley, who’s got no plans to slow down—even with the law knocking at her door! Elizabeth, from Trisant, near Aberystwyth, was recently arrested in London for holding up a banner in support of Palestine Action, a group now labelled as a terrorist organisation. But don’t think an arrest will keep this spirited lady away from the causes she believes in!

Fresh from her protest adventure, Elizabeth has been very clear—she’s planning to go back next month, fully aware she’s breaking her bail conditions. “I know I’ll be breaking my bail conditions when I go back in September, but I’m mentally prepared for that,” she said. “You can’t just chicken out because the police have got involved. Not for something this important. That would be ridiculous.” And why this determination? Elizabeth firmly believes in standing up against what she sees as injustice, a conviction shaped by her personal history. Her Jewish father survived Auschwitz and later lived in Palestine, which compels Elizabeth to continue advocating for those she feels are oppressed.

For Elizabeth, age is just a number. Proudly standing as a “menace,” she doesn’t let her past lack of activism weigh her down. Rather, she’s dedicating her golden years to making a difference and is inspired by fellow protesters. “A lot of people who are protesting alongside me have a lot to lose, whereas I don’t. I can use my time in this way,” she explains.

Despite the Home Secretary’s warnings and the potential 14-year prison sentence lurking in the shadows, Elizabeth carries on, unmoved by what she calls an overdramatic reaction to peaceful protests in the UK. She carries a message to the world: “Palestine Action are not terrorists – they are fighting against terrorism. They are on the right side of justice.”
Funny, feisty, and fiercely dedicated, Elizabeth shows us all that you’re never too old to stand up for your beliefs. Stay tuned as she gears up for her next protest outing, cakes baked and ready for her returning visitors! 🍰🔥 #Activism #Protest #PalestineAction
