Emerging Worries: Uncovering a Silent Struggle for Welsh Dads

A recent study has uncovered a pressing issue among new fathers in Wales— a “hidden crisis” of increased suicide risk. Shockingly, research shows that in the first 1,001 days of a child’s life, new fathers are seven times more likely to die by suicide than new mothers. While there are well-established mental health services for new mums, dads seem to be overlooked.
