🔥 Rugby Clash Turns into War of Words! 🔥

England’s Tom Curry is at the centre of a heated row with Argentina’s head coach Felipe Contepomi following a controversial match. After England’s tight win over Argentina in the autumn internationals, Contepomi accused Curry of “bullying” and claimed he shoved him in the tunnel. He went as far as saying Curry’s late tackle on Juan Cruz Mallia was responsible for the player’s knee injury.

But England’s former internationals Ben Youngs and Dan Cole aren’t having it. Youngs dismissed Contepomi’s accusations as “a load of b******s” on the “For the Love of Rugby” podcast. He argued that while Curry’s challenge was late, it wasn’t reckless or malicious. Youngs highlighted what he called the hypocrisy in Argentina’s complaints, mentioning their aggressive approach towards George Ford.

Cole chimed in, describing Argentina’s reaction as “sour grapes” following their narrow defeat. He pointed out that rugby is a physically demanding sport built on gaining the upper hand, and that Curry’s actions were just part of the game, without any intent to injure.
Despite Contepomi claiming that tunnel cameras would support his side of the story, no footage has surfaced from the unions. England’s head coach, Steve Borthwick, has backed Curry, praising his character and admitting he hadn’t witnessed any altercation himself.
As the dust settles, it appears this clash off the field may carry on longer than the 80 minutes on it. What’s your take on this fiery exchange? Was Curry’s tackle just part of the game, or did it cross the line? 🏉💬
