After spending over 25 years teaching English at Dyffryn Comprehensive School in Port Talbot, Robert pivoted to journalism. His transition into writing commercial features connected him deeply with the business world, eventually leading him to become a standout reporter on the business desk. His reporting style was unique, interjecting only when necessary, ensuring his interviewees revealed more than they perhaps intended.
