Tough night for the Scarlets as their European dreams took a hit with a 47-38 defeat to Pau at Parc y Scarlets. It was a rollercoaster of emotions in Llanelli, as the Welsh team powered back from a 26-10 deficit to lead 38-26, only to see victory slip away again. Despite heroic tries from the likes of Josh Macleod and Taine Plumtree, defensive slips and missed chances cost them dearly. Pau capitalised on these lapses with Toshi Butlin, Clement Mondinat, and Siate Tokolahi among the try scorers. Even though the Scarlets rallied in the second half and showed immense character, the French side’s resilience proved too much.
