📢 Big news for rugby fans! Former Wales coach Mike Forshaw has stepped down from his role as Leicester Tigers defence coach after just two months, citing personal reasons.

Forshaw, who was a key figure in the Welsh Rugby setup and a former Great Britain rugby league star, had joined Leicester Tigers over the summer. In a heartfelt statement, he expressed his regret about not being able to continue in the role and wished the team all the best for their upcoming season.

“It’s been a fantastic, albeit brief, experience at the club. The players and coaches are a brilliant group, and I genuinely wish them every success moving forward,” Forshaw shared.
Before his stint with Wales, Forshaw had a decade-long tenure as a defence coach with Sale Sharks and a celebrated career in rugby league, making his unexpected departure a surprise to fans and colleagues alike.
Leicester Tigers head coach Geoff Parling acknowledged Forshaw’s contribution, saying, “It’s sad to lose someone of Mike’s experience. He’s brought immense value to our pre-season efforts, and we wish him and his family well.”
With Forshaw’s departure, Anthony Allen, a former Leicester centre and current coach, will take over defensive duties alongside Alex Davies, who will add extra skills to his role as kicking coach.
Wishing Mike Forshaw all the best for the future! 🏉💪 #RugbyNews #LeicesterTigers #CoachingChange
