Launched last April with high hopes, this £5 million venture, allowing brave souls to zip across the stadium canopy and abseil down, hasn’t quite hit its stride. Visitors shelled out £89 for the full experience or £44 just to stroll the heights, but with dwindling interest, the Welsh Rugby Union is taking swift action.
During this summer’s concert-packed season, the attraction didn’t operate, leaving thrill-seekers with their adventure plans on pause. With no dates currently available, eager adventurers are being greeted by “temporarily closed” notices, citing “ongoing operational issues.”
But don’t be too disappointed! The WRU is cooking up something special—a fresh strategy and partnership are on the horizon. Recent work on the stadium’s iconic roof includes solar panel installations aimed at boosting eco-friendliness. A new partnership announcement is expected soon, promising a revamped adventure you won’t want to miss! 🌞🏉
WRU chairman Richard Collier-Keywood previously shared the ambition to boost interest, especially during sunnier months, and while hopes fell short this time, efforts to improve are underway with collaboration from Wire & Sky. The adventure might even see new ownership or improvements, as WRU remains open to all possibilities to enhance the guest experience.
