Part of an £800 million effort to modernise rail services, these 36 stylish tram-trains will connect Merthyr, Aberdare, Treherbert, and Cardiff Bay, running on both traditional rail lines and city streets.
🔌 Fully electric and set to make journeys faster and more frequent, these trains are a game-changer for anyone travelling to or from Cardiff. The snazzy new class 398 tram-trains will be housed in the state-of-the-art £100m depot in Taff’s Well.
