🏉 Exciting Weekend Ahead for Cardiff Rugby Fans!

Get ready as Taine Basham is set to make his competitive debut for Cardiff Rugby this Saturday! With the former head coach Matt Sherratt moving to the Wales coaching team, Cardiff is embracing fresh energy and leadership from their assistant coaches.

Kick-off is at 7:45pm at the Arms Park against the tough Lions team. Plenty to look forward to with three summer signings in the squad. Alongside Basham on the openside, we have Scotland prop Javan Sebastian in the front-row to power through the game. Ioan Lloyd, Wales fly-half, is also back at the Arms Park and ready to make an impact from the bench.
Leading the charge, captain Liam Belcher returns after a successful summer in Japan with Wales. The front-row features Rhys Barratt and Javan Sebastian, and the seasoned duo Josh McNally and Teddy Williams will lock down the second-row.
Our back-row boasts the talents of Basham, Alex Mann, and Alun Lawrence, while familiar faces grace the backline. Johan Mulder and Callum Sheedy team up at half-back, with Ben Thomas and Harri Millard solidifying the midfield. Look out for the dynamic trio of Josh Adams, Cam Winnett, and Tom Bowen in the back-three.
Assistant coach Corniel van Zyl assures fans that it’s business as usual as they prepare to face the Lions: “The players are focused, ready to project their energy forward. We’re all in this together, keeping our vision intact and maintaining high standards.”
Expect a thrilling battle on the field, as Cardiff aims to energise the Arms Park once again. Here’s to an unforgettable night with an electric atmosphere and unwavering support! 🔵⚫
