Thanks to a generous £11.49m boost from the Welsh Government’s coal tip safety grant, safety and biodiversity are taking centre stage. Here’s a quick run-through of what’s happening:

In **Cwmbach**, expect some buzz near the Nant y Groes watercourse. The local Streetcare Team is on it, managing vegetation and conducting essential surveys. Some noise might be noticeable, but the team assures minimal disruption as they wrap up mid-December.

Moving to **Clydach Vale**, work is in full swing at the Countryside Park. It’s all about better access, drainage maintenance, and keeping the area vibrant for both humans and local wildlife. The diligent RCT Streetcare team and Dee Plant are working hard, with completion also expected in December.

Over in **Mountain Ash**, things are starting to gear up at Craig y Duffryn. Access tracks are undergoing a much-needed upgrade, paving the way for easier maintenance and inspections in the future. A special shoutout to Peter Simmons Construction for keeping things smooth amidst school traffic!
