Andy Murray is swinging into a new chapter! The two-time Wimbledon champ is leaving his tennis days behind to dive into the world of golf. Since retiring last year after the Olympics, Murray has had a swing at coaching, even working with Novak Djokovic briefly. But now, it’s all about perfecting his golf game.

While turning pro might be a long shot, he’s not ruling out being a part of the action in a different way. Murray chatted on The Romesh Ranganathan Show about his dream job as a golf caddie. “Imagine being there when a top golfer has a brilliant moment,” he shared. “That would be a great job!”

Murray is eyeing up the chance to caddie for fellow Scot Robert MacIntyre, dreaming of one day carrying his bag to victory at The Open. As for playing in The Open himself? Murray laughs off the idea but is open to having a bit of fun with local qualifiers, just for the joy of the game.

“It’s about enjoying golf without the pressure,” he says, recognising how incredibly talented the pros are compared to enthusiasts. Whether he’s on the course as a caddie or just having a knock about, it’s clear Murray’s competitive spirit is alive and well. Loving this new golfing goal?
