**Heartbreaking Tragedy: Young Couple’s Lives Cut Short in Crash**

A momentary lapse behind the wheel has led to a devastating loss in West Wales. Alexander MacCallum, 28, admitted to causing a deadly collision that took the lives of Adam Muskett, 27, and Katie Worrell, 25, on June 13, 2024. The incident occurred on the A477 between Llanddowror and Red Roses when MacCallum’s Jaguar XKR veered into their Ford Fiesta during adverse weather.

Adam and Katie, a vibrant couple from Tenby, had their lives tragically cut short. Despite the swift response from emergency services, including paramedics and the Wales Air Ambulance, both succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

MacCallum, previously of good character, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving at Swansea Crown Court. He confessed to losing control of his vehicle, stating it was a momentary accident. MacCallum faces sentencing on April 2 and has been disqualified from driving until then.
This heartbreaking incident has left two families in mourning. Adam’s family remembers him as a loving son, brother, and a passionate football fan with a cheeky smile. “We’re heartbroken and forever proud of him,” they said. Katie’s family recalls her as a kind and caring individual who achieved so much in her short life, including earning a Master’s degree. “Our lives will never be the same without her,” her family shared.
Our thoughts are with Adam and Katie’s families and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Let this serve as a reminder of the preciousness of life and the need for caution on the roads. Stay safe, everyone.
