Tragedy struck in Leominster this morning when a bin lorry crashed into a house, leaving one man dead and two others injured. The heartbreaking incident happened around 6.40am on Bridge Street at the junction with Mill Street. Emergency services, including police, fire crews, and ambulances, rushed to the scene to find a man in his 60s, a passenger in the lorry, who sadly lost his life on the spot. The driver and another passenger were treated and whisked off to hospital, though thankfully their injuries aren’t life-threatening.

Superintendent Helen Wain of West Mercia Police extended thoughts and condolences to all those affected, urging the public to steer clear of the area as roads remain shut to ensure safety and ongoing investigations.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service was out in full force, deploying multiple units, including two ambulances and an air ambulance, to manage the situation.
