A taxi burst into flames at the bustling Ravenhill Road junction in Swansea, leaving onlookers in shock. As vehicles waited at the lights to turn onto busy Carmarthen Road, black smoke filled the air, drawing concerns from passers-by.
Fabio Ciccolella, who runs a local business, captured the intense moment. His video shows the swift action of the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, who arrived promptly at 1:05 pm. Armed with breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, and a thermal imaging camera, the crew battled the flames that completely engulfed the vehicle. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The fire service remained on the scene for about 30 minutes to ensure everything was under control, with the charred remains of the taxi later removed.
