π¬οΈ Brace yourselves, Storm Bram is turning up the wind dial across Wales today! The Met Office has slapped a yellow wind warning on significant parts of the country, expecting fierce gusts reaching 70mph in some areas. π¨ The stormy spell kicked in at 4:06pm and will likely linger until 7pm this evening.

Expect disruptions to journeys and potential power cuts as those powerful south to southwesterly winds roar through. π Coastal areas might see some dramatic spray and big waves too, so if you’re near the seaside, take caution.

Affected regions include Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Pembrokeshire, Powys, and Swansea. If you’re travelling, especially on the M4, expect delays since some lighting columns had to be swiftly removed to ensure safety. π§οΈ

Trains are also in a jumble with cancellations between Aberdare and Abercynon due to flooding, and issues at Pontarddulais thanks to a fallen tree on the line. π
Stay safe out there and check road conditions before venturing out. Make sure you’re ready for any power outages tooβgrab those torches, batteries, and keep your mobile charged with a power pack. π¦π
Stay tuned and stay safe, everyone! ππͺ #StormBram #SafetyFirst #WeatherAlert
