Former Aggressor at Massage Parlor Shifts Focus to Harassing Teenager

Nathan Bantick, a former Royal Marine, is back behind bars after a string of disturbing incidents in Swansea. Known for a violent past, including a Christmas Day rampage in a massage parlour, Bantick’s latest actions have landed him a 12-month prison sentence.

It all kicked off in Swansea city centre, where Bantick, out with a friend, made inappropriate remarks to a group of teenage girls. He then took things further by inappropriately touching an 18-year-old. When Bantick’s friend, Kevin Owen, stepped in to challenge his behaviour, the situation escalated. Bantick punched and kicked Owen, leaving him needing medical attention for facial injuries, including two missing teeth.

This isn’t Bantick’s first offence. In 2014, he was jailed for attacking two massage parlour workers. Wearing a Santa hat, he’d demanded his money back after feeling short-changed on his session time, and when told no, he lashed out violently, even turning on a fellow customer who tried to intervene.

In court, the judge condemned Bantick’s actions, highlighting public concern over such behaviour on their streets. Despite his claims of remorse, the judge handed down a 12-month sentence, stressing that his assault on the teenager was a serious violation of personal dignity.

Bantick’s legal team indicated that he’s battling personal demons, including PTSD and alcohol issues, which he hopes to address. Yet, his pattern of aggression remains troubling, reminding us of the importance of keeping our streets safe from those who refuse to control their violent tendencies. The judge’s decision reflects a commitment to this safety, ensuring Bantick will be off the streets, at least for now.
