Football legend Tony Adams is teaming up with the Royal British Legion and MatchWornShirt for an extraordinary cause, aiming to boost funds for the Poppy Appeal this Remembrance Sunday. This unique collaboration brings together football and a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces by auctioning match-worn shirts adorned with poppies from various clubs, including those from the Premier League, EFL, and WSL.

Adams, whose father served in the British Army, says the campaign is personal for him, bringing together the values of football and military service—respect, unity, and discipline. He reminisces about his childhood, deeply touched by Remembrance Sunday’s solemn one-minute silence, emphasising the importance of honouring and remembering the brave.

The campaign, now in its seventh year, has already raised a staggering £3.5 million for the Poppy Appeal. Fans can get involved by bidding on these signed shirts, with all proceeds going to support the Royal British Legion’s vital work for the Armed Forces community.

Tony is particularly keen on getting his hands on Declan Rice’s jersey and encourages everyone to join in. “Football is a powerful way to shine a light on the armed forces,” he says, urging fans to help continue this heartwarming mission.
