Prepare to be shocked! A simple fish theft uncovered a much darker story. Szymon Kornet, 51, from Walton, was caught on camera sneaking into his ex-wife’s house, taking items from her fridge. But what started as a case of missing fish led to far more disturbing discoveries.

Kornet’s ex-wife, suspicious of break-ins, set up a CCTV camera, catching him entering her home. After confronting him, Kornet sent £200 to her account as compensation. But the saga didn’t end there. Two weeks later, a missing dress was linked back to him, leading to the return of the garment but a denial about other stolen items.

The real bombshell dropped when their daughter brought home an iPad from Kornet’s house. Hidden on the device were unsettling images of women filmed without their knowledge, including “upskirting” videos. These shocking discoveries, spanning from 2022, led to Kornet’s arrest.
In court, he admitted to burglary, voyeurism, and the covert filming offences. Despite claims of remorse and a determination to change, he was sentenced to 15 months in jail. He must also sign the sex offenders’ register for seven years.
This troubling case highlights the extent of Kornet’s betrayal, not only of his ex-wife but also a shocking breach of privacy against multiple women. A seemingly simple theft has unveiled a deeply concerning pattern of behaviour. Stay vigilant and always trust your instincts.
