Former Soccer Star Gary Lineker Steps Down from TV Position due to Overwhelming Work Commitments, CEO Reveals

Gary Lineker is stepping away from his new TV role after just 11 months. Known for his legendary stint on Match of the Day, Lineker joined forces with Alan Shearer and Micah Richards in a fresh venture called the Baller League, managing team Deportrio. Despite a stellar performance in their debut season, they ended their run in the semi-finals.

However, Lineker, citing a hectic schedule, won’t return for season two. Baller League’s CEO Felix Starck revealed it requires a fervent passion, saying, “If you don’t fall in love with it, you can’t be with this game.”

While Gary bids farewell, Micah Richards stays on and has recruited Daniel Sturridge for the next round. Exciting times ahead as Deportrio squares off against Shearer and Ian Wright’s jointly managed team, Wembley Rangers FC.
