🏉 Exciting times for Welsh rugby fans! Former Wales international, Josh Turnbull, has taken up a new role as assistant coach of the Wales under-20s, just in time for the Six Nations in the new year. After a stellar playing career, with 334 appearances for the Scarlets and Cardiff Rugby, and representing Wales 13 times, Turnbull is now ready to share his wealth of experience with the next generation. 🌟

Turnbull’s coaching journey has seen him work with Newcastle Emlyn, Scarlets U18s, and within the Cardiff Rugby pathway. Now, he’s thrilled to develop young talent and help them chase their dreams of becoming professional rugby players. Having spent time with Richie Pugh in the U18s, Turnbull is already familiar with many players stepping up to the U20s, which promises an exciting season ahead.
Joining forces with head coach Richard Whiffin, Turnbull is eager to create electric atmospheres like the unforgettable clash against England last March. The team will host France, Scotland, and Italy in what’s sure to be a thrilling under-20s Six Nations.

Whiffin can’t wait to have Turnbull on board, acknowledging his impressive work in last year’s undefeated U18 Six Nations festival. Known for his defensive coaching skills, Turnbull aims to bring more physicality and fresh insights to the U20s squad.
Mark your calendars! The campaign kicks off against England on February 6, followed by a clash with France at Cardiff Arms Park on February 14. Scotland’s visit promises to be another epic encounter the following Friday. Don’t miss out on witnessing the rise of future Welsh rugby stars! 🏴☠️✨
