In a surprise move, Wales has appointed three former players as new coaches for the upcoming autumn Tests! π

Welcome Dan Lydiate, Rhys Patchell, and Duncan Jones, who will join Steve Tandy’s coaching team on an interim basis. Each brings unique expertise and passion to the table, ready to fire up the national team!

πΉ Dan Lydiate, the legendary blindside flanker with 72 caps, will focus on defence, utilising his wealth of experience from his days with the British and Irish Lions.
πΉ Rhys Patchell, the skilful former fly-half, steps in as a skills coach, mainly concentrating on kicking. Having made his mark in the 2019 World Cup, he’s now sharing his knowledge at the Dragons.
πΉ Duncan Jones, an experienced former prop with 57 caps, will oversee the scrum. With a solid coaching background from the Ospreys, heβs set to strengthen the pack.
Steve Tandy, thrilled with the appointments, expressed gratitude to the Ospreys and Dragons for lending their top talents to the national cause. With a coaching line-up that also includes Matt Sherratt and Danny Wilson, Wales is geared up for an exciting campaign!
First up? Argentina on 9th November in Cardiff, followed by clashes with Japan, New Zealand, and South Africa. π
