🚨 Transfer Drama Alert! 🚨

Striker Thomas Henry recently opened up about his thwarted move to Swansea City. Back in 2021, the French forward, playing for OH Leuven, was eager to make the switch to the Swans. Despite scoring an impressive 21 goals in the 2020/21 season, which should have sealed the deal, his transfer dreams were dashed by Leicester City, who oversee his club Leuven.
Henry claims he had everything set to join Swansea, even receiving a call from their coach in March, convinced a move was imminent. But in a twist of fate, Leicester’s sporting director, Jon Rudkin, blocked the deal, despite the Swans tabling two offers. Heartbreakingly, Henry recalls pleading to make the move happen. But in the end, the negotiations fell through, leaving him stuck in Belgium.

The summer didn’t turn out too bad for Swansea, though! They snapped up Joel Piroe, who went on to score 46 goals in 96 games, alongside signing Michael Obafemi, with Russell Martin taking over managerial duties from Steve Cooper.
