🚍😡 A couple in Beddau returned home to a big surprise – a bus stop right at the end of their driveway! Christopher Harris and Michelle Smith were left speechless when they discovered the stop had been installed there – they were expecting it further up the road.
Christopher is frustrated as buses regularly park right outside his home, leaving him blocked in. “I was in disbelief,” he said. “I’ve lost parking spaces, and buses are stopping on a dropped kerb, which doesn’t seem legal.”
With the start of school term approaching, Chris is worried about the influx of school kids outside his gates every morning. Despite reaching out to authorities for help, he’s had no resolution yet. The local council has promised to look into it, citing community service improvements as the reason for the new location.
In a bid to get some action, Christopher has set up meetings with his local councillor and a traffic officer. He’s even chatted with a sympathetic bus driver who agreed the stop shouldn’t be there.
If the situation doesn’t improve, Christopher has considered taking action: “If buses keep blocking my drive, I’ll have to block the bus stop myself.”
