Cycling legend Geraint Thomas is set to wrap up his fantastic career with an epic farewell party in Cardiff! 🚴♂️ This week marks the end of an era as the Lloyds Tour of Britain concludes, and Cardiff gets to honour its hometown hero with 4,000 people invited to celebrate at a grand event in Cardiff Castle.
Geraint’s riding through his beloved Cardiff for the last time, and he wants to share this special moment with you. ❤️ “It’s mad that this is my final race,” says Geraint. “But I can’t think of a better way to say thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way!”
Although tickets flew off the shelves and the event is now a sell-out, stay tuned for any updates! The six-day race starts in Woodbridge and culminates in south Wales, with the finale passing by the outdoor velodrome where Geraint first began and even his local pub!
This is a heartening full-circle moment that’s bound to tug at the heartstrings of fans as we bid farewell to a national sporting treasure. 🚴🏆
