🚨 **Stranger Danger Turned Car Heist!** 🚨

Sounds like something out of a crime drama: A man lounging in the middle of a road in Harlow, Essex is found by a passing driver who stops to lend a helping hand. But kindness backfired when the man, identified as Martin O’Brien, hopped into the Good Samaritan’s car and sped off!

The story doesn’t end there. The car was found a couple of miles away, damaged, with O’Brien still sitting in the driver’s seat. Despite the police intervention, the mystery took a twist as O’Brien claimed a possible heart attack might be responsible for his actions! 🤔

O’Brien was later caught by the police after a wild foot chase in Port Talbot, wielding a Stanley knife. With 32 previous convictions and 86 offences—ranging from robbery to vehicle theft—O’Brien’s record isn’t a pretty one. 📝
In court, the barrister did admit O’Brien had a troubled past. But justice had its way. O’Brien received a nine-month prison sentence, needing to pay £550 to the car owner.
Let’s hear your thoughts. What would you do if you found someone in the middle of the road? 🚗💨
