🌟 Remembering Sol Bamba 🌟

Chloe Bamba, wife of Cardiff City icon Sol Bamba, is still finding her way through the loss of her beloved husband. A powerful mural has been unveiled in Grangetown, capturing Sol’s larger-than-life presence perfectly. Chloe shared heartfelt words at the ceremony, reminiscing about Sol’s infectious spirit and unwavering strength.

“Meeting Sol was a blessing. Seeing him memorialised on a building is just perfect,” Chloe expressed, highlighting the bittersweet mixture of laughter and tears. Despite the heartache, she stands strong, inspired by Sol’s legacy.
Sol, who passed away at just 39, battled Non-Hodgkin lymphoma with incredible courage. After initially beating the disease, it sadly returned, taking him from us too soon. His passing shook the Cardiff community, leaving a void hard to fill.
Chloe reflects, “I truly believe he left me with some of his strength. He wouldn’t want me to wallow.” This strength is thriving in their children, Roonea, Lily, and Amy, who keep Sol’s memory alive every day. Chloe talks openly with them about their father, nurturing the Bamba spirit within them.
Holding the Bamba name high, Chloe remains connected to Cardiff City, a team that meant everything to Sol. The stories shared by those who knew him paint a picture of not just a footballer, but a remarkable man beloved by all.
Though the pain of his absence remains, Chloe carries on with grace, driven by Sol’s lessons of resilience and joy. “Every day, I miss him,” she shares, focusing on his character and strength.
❤️ Sol Bamba was more than a football legend. He was a beacon of strength and community. The mural in Grangetown stands as a testament to his incredible impact both on and off the pitch. Let’s continue to celebrate his life, cherish the memories, and keep the Bamba legacy alive. 💙
