🎓 Big news for Stormzy fans! The rap sensation, also known as Michael Omari Owuo Jr, has been made an honorary fellow at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. Known for his incredible talent and generosity, Stormzy launched the groundbreaking Stormzy Scholarship in 2018, helping black UK students fulfil their academic dreams at this prestigious university.

The programme, backed by his #Merky Foundation, has already supported 68 students, with the largest group set to graduate in 2025. The ever-inspiring Sonita Alleyne, master of Jesus College, praised him as an “amazing storyteller” and a “champion for social change”. She believes Stormzy’s presence will inspire both present and future students.
In 2018, Stormzy transformed the academic landscape for black British students, funding their studies and living costs. Now, thanks to a partnership with HSBC, 30 more scholarships will be awarded over the next three years!

Stormzy’s journey from freestyling with “Shut Up” to headlining Glastonbury in 2019 at just 25, is not just a story of musical success but also of cultural and philanthropic triumph. Kudos to you, Stormzy! 🎤💥 #StormzyScholarship #MakingHistory #EducationMatters
