We’re deeply saddened to share that Morgan Jones, a talented 23-year-old striker for CPD Llannefydd, has tragically passed away. Known for his dedication on the pitch and his vibrant spirit, Morgan was a true asset to his team and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Described as a “lovely lad” and a “cracking footballer,” Morgan made a lasting impact both on and off the field.


CPD Llannefydd, competing in the Lock Stock Ardal North West league, expressed their heartbreak, remembering Morgan as a valued teammate who always gave his all for the club. Their heartfelt statement reads, “Morgan will forever be a part of the CPD Llannefydd family.”

Football communities around North Wales have united in tribute, offering condolences and sharing fond memories. Bangor FC’s Chairman, Nick Pritchard, extended his condolences, calling the news “tragic.” Similarly, Referee Graham Hannah fondly recalled having the privilege to referee Morgan, noting his sportsmanship and skill.
