๐ Llandudno Pier to Pause Operations for a Day ๐

Hey folks, a quick update from beautiful North Wales. Tomorrow, Thursday, September 18, Llandudno Pier, one of our top tourist spots, will close its doors for the day. Normally bustling and vibrant, the pier only ever shuts on Christmas Day, so this is quite unusual.

The reason is touching โ the pier owner, Adam Williams, is taking time to honour his late mother, Nora Williams. Adam fondly remembers her as his “real jewel in the crown” and someone who inspired his journey. This heartfelt tribute means all the usual fun at the arcades, big wheel, and charming shops wonโt be available โ but just for the day.
The pier, which has been standing tall since 1877, has seen a lot this past year. From weathering Storm Darragh’s heavy blows last December to enjoying a lively summer and even bagging the UK Pier of the Year award this spring. Itโs a reminder of resilience, community, and the special memories we make with loved ones.
Operations are set to resume on Friday, September 19, so you’ll be able to enjoy the classic seaside attraction soon enough. Let’s all send a bit of love to Adam and his family as they navigate this difficult time. โค๏ธ
