The heat is coming courtesy of the remnants of tropical Storm Dexter, sweeping in and pushing up the temperatures from Sunday. After a warm-ish weekend, Monday kicks off the heatwave festivities. By Tuesday, it’s going to be the hottest day with sizzling highs across the country.
BBC weatherman Derek Brockway tells us to prepare for “hot and humid air moving up from the south,” making Tuesday the scorcher of the week. ☀️ And it’s not just Wales – parts of England could see temps in the low to mid 30s!
With the August average around 22°C, this is well above what we’re used to. The Met Office suggests this could very well hit the heatwave threshold – three days straight of 25°C or more. So, keep cool and stay hydrated, folks!
