A piece of Welsh history has taken a hit! The beautiful Llandrinio Bridge has suffered major damage in a suspected hit-and-run incident. Happening on Monday, October 27th, authorities believe a vehicle might have collided with the bridge and then fled the scene. Emergency services were quick to react, conducting a search in the River Severn to ensure no vehicle was in the water.

This historic gem, located on the B4393 and spanning the River Severn, has a large section of its wall collapsed into the river. It’s now closed in both directions until essential repairs can bring it back to its former glory.
The closure is expected to last a while, but the search for answers is on! Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen or heard anything. Every little detail helps!

If you have any information that could assist the investigation, please reach out to Dyfed-Powys Police through their website or call 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
