Sad news for Cardiff’s food and drink lovers: After over five incredible years serving up unauthentic tacos and killer margaritas, La Pantera is set to close its doors. Located on Quay Street, this Mexican cantina and mezcal bar is beloved for its unique twist on Mexican classics and vibrant atmosphere.
Founded by friends Mark Holmes and Joe Rapson, La Pantera quickly became a staple in Cardiff’s nightlife scene. The pair dreamt up the venue while working at the Dead Canary cocktail bar, and their venture has become a haven for those seeking creative small plates and strong cocktails.
But all good things must come to an end. As their lease is up, La Pantera will bid Cardiff adieu by the end of November. But not without a bang! They’re planning to throw a legendary closing party, so clear your diary for Sunday, 30th November. You won’t want to miss out on the final hoorah!
