π‘π A Bittersweet Goodbye to Coney Beach ππ‘

This Saturday marks the end of an era as Porthcawl’s beloved Coney Beach Amusement Park is set to close its gates for the last time. Join the community for a spectacular seaside firework display as we bid farewell to over a century of fun and memories. πβ¨

Since its announcement in January, the park’s closure has weighed heavily on locals and visitors alike. The iconic spot is making way for a new development featuring 1,100 homes, shops, cafes, restaurants, and leisure attractions. But before the new chapter begins, we celebrate what’s been a historic ride. π’ποΈ

Beloved figures like Steve from American Donuts, who has been a fixture at the park since 1967, will be saying their goodbyes. Although ready for his next adventure, he shares the sentiment of many: “Iβm gutted but grateful for all the memories.” π©β€οΈ
Longtime seafood vendor, Dave Jones, is pondering his future ventures with thoughts of a quaint cockle bike along the beach. π€π΄
Saying goodbye is never easy, especially to a place filled with cherished moments. One regular poignantly noted: “Years of memories… Porthcawl will never be the same.”
Join us at Coney Beach this Saturday from 1pm-9pm for two wristband sessions, and letβs make the last day one to remember with fireworks lighting up the night sky. ππ
Catch those last rides and vibes, share your love for Coney Beach, and letβs wave a heartfelt goodbye together. ππ
