🚨 Caught in the Act: Man Jailed for Driving Drugs to Wales 🚨

Thomas Gore, a 32-year-old from Wolverhampton, found himself in over his head after accepting £200 to transport cocaine from the West Midlands to Pembroke. With “considerable” gambling debts looming over him, Gore thought he was just a driver. However, a judge at Swansea Crown Court expressed disappointment in Gore for getting involved in such “insidious behaviour.”
🚐 Timeline of Trouble:
On June 27, police in Pembrokeshire flagged down Gore’s Ford Transit van, which had been under suspicion for drug activities. The search uncovered 3.5g of cannabis, £530 in cash, and a hefty 125g of cocaine in a rucksack.

📱 Silent as a Stone:
During questioning, Gore claimed he was unaware of the rucksack’s contents, stressing he was merely a driver. He held fast to a “no comment” stance to further police questions. However, phone records indicated otherwise, showcasing text exchanges about cocaine going back to March.
🔍 On the Radar:
ANPR cameras revealed Gore’s van had been on this route five times between February and May, linking him to the ongoing movement of drugs into Pembrokeshire.
📜 Courtroom Conclusion:
Pleading guilty to cocaine possession with intent to supply, possession of criminal property, and cannabis possession, Gore received a three-year prison sentence. With his guilty plea taken into account, he’ll serve up to half in custody before completing his time on licence.
💬 The Judge’s Warning:
“You knew what you were up to,” the judge commented, urging Gore to refrain from any future wrongdoing and reminding him that South Wales doesn’t need more drug trafficking. Let’s hope Gore heeds the advice and turns over a new leaf. 🍃
