Mark Robertson, a former hospitality and catering lecturer, is under scrutiny for sending a peculiar message asking an 18-year-old student to imagine him as “pocket-size, six inches”, leading many to raise eyebrows.
During a professional standards hearing, Robertson claimed that the message referenced the Disney animation *Ratatouille*. He denied any sexual innuendo, stating the conversation was taken out of context as it took place whilst offering support in a pastoral capacity. He maintained it was purely about easing the student’s exam stress.
