**Heads Up, Cardiff! Police Clamp Down on Bonfire Night Mischief 🎆🚨**

Exciting times this Bonfire Night come with a serious side in Cardiff’s Pentrebane area. Extra police powers have been rolled out following Halloween antics involving fireworks being aimed at homes and cars. To tackle this, a 48-hour dispersal order is in effect until Thursday evening.

What does this mean? Well, more bobbies on the beat for a start. Under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014, officers can instruct anyone causing trouble—or about to—to vacate the area. Plus, they can confiscate items like fireworks if they’re causing chaos.

Inspector Tim Ursell assures us it’s all about keeping our community safe. “We’ll have a boosted presence in Pentrebane, using our new powers to nip any trouble in the bud,” he says. Parents, maybe have a quick chat with the kids about keeping it fun, not fiery.
Let’s enjoy the celebrations without causing mayhem. Stay safe and look out for one another! 🏡✨
