đźš—đź’¨ Meet “The Beast,” the world’s fastest toy car! đźš—đź’¨

Stephen Wallis, a 43-year-old motorcycle engineer, just smashed the world record for the fastest remote control (RC) car, with an incredible speed of 234.71mph at Llanbedr Airfield in North Wales! Can you imagine? That’s faster than a McLaren F1!

This jaw-dropping feat took 18 months of dedication and a ÂŁ2,000 investment. Built right in Stephen’s garage, “The Beast” is a 1.1m-long marvel of engineering with 3D-printed parts, carbon fibre, aluminium, and cutting-edge drone motors.
Stephen’s journey into the world of RC cars began at the age of eight, fuelling his passion for engineering. After a break, he dove back in when his 13-year-old son, Rory, caught the RC bug. What started as a fun project quickly turned into breaking world records.
Despite years of tinkering, it was Rory’s newfound enthusiasm that sparked the creation of “The Beast.” Stephen spent countless hours, sometimes up to 40 hours a week, perfecting his RC car to hit higher speeds using innovative components and tricks he learned along the way.
Guinness World Records confirmed Stephen’s achievement, surpassing the previous RC car speed record by more than 15mph. With a powerful battery delivering 75.6 volts and four drone motors, “The Beast” bolted directly to the chassis, proved unstoppable.
Every detail was meticulously planned, including its eye-catching white, neon green, and pink design to stay visible during the high-speed runs. This labour of love wasn’t just about breaking records; Stephen hopes it will inspire the next generation to dive into the world of science and engineering.
Stephen’s incredible achievement speaks to the power of passion and determination. Hats off to you, Stephen, for taking RC cars to a whole new level! 🏆 Keep inspiring us all to dream big and race fast! 🎉
