In a shocking turn of events just before Christmas, a 46-year-old man from Swansea, Philip John, brutally attacked his 81-year-old father after a heavy drinking session. The disturbing incident occurred after the pair had been consuming alcohol at a working men’s club. Things took a dark turn when Philip’s father left to escape his son’s intoxicated state, only to find his son waiting at home later that night.
The court heard how Philip unleashed a violent assault, headbutting and biting his elderly father during a heated altercation. The gruesome attack left the victim with a fractured cheekbone, bruising, and bite marks, necessitating medical attention at Morriston Hospital.
