A London Man Sheds Eight Stone With Medical Jabs and Relentless Walking Regime

A man from London who once thought he wouldn’t live to see his thirtieth birthday is now celebrating a dramatic transformation, after dropping an astonishing eight stone through a combination of the prescription medication Mounjaro and a punishing daily walking regime. Brandon Gee, 27, reached his heaviest at 25st 5lbs (approximately 161kg), a weight many find unimaginable for someone of his age.

Brandon’s story is one that will resonate with thousands who struggle with their health and self-esteem. At 5XL and relying on takeaways up to three times a day, Brandon says his life had become incredibly limited. Short walks would exhaust him, and even basic activities like lying down to rest or watch television brought breathing difficulties. Looking back, he recalls: “It got to the stage where I genuinely thought my heart would give out before 30. I’d become a hermit, hiding away from the world.”

The loss of loved ones to health complications served as a jarring wake-up call. Confronted by personal grief, Brandon found new motivation to change course. He initially tackled his health issues by ramping up his physical activity, reaching 10,000 steps daily. This first push saw him shed nearly four stone, but when some of the weight began to creep back, Brandon sought further support—beginning Mounjaro injections in early 2025.
Mounjaro, a medication making headlines for its weight loss efficacy, suppresses appetite and balances blood sugar in those who qualify for a prescription. For Brandon, the effects were immediate. “The first time I took Mounjaro, I actually couldn’t finish my dinner that night. I was sceptical, but at 22st, I needed a new solution,” he explained.
Rather than relying solely on the medication, Brandon intensified his routine, aiming for an extraordinary 30,000 steps most days. He complimented this with frequent sessions at the gym and a stricter diet. “People often expect quick fixes, but the truth is, I still had to put in the work—30,000 steps day after day,” Brandon said. Progress was gradual, but the persistence paid off: he is now able to run 10km, a feat that once seemed unattainable.
The most profound changes, Brandon says, have come not just in his body but his mental health. “My anxiety is gone, and I finally feel free to do things I’d only dreamt about—going on holidays, spending time outdoors, playing with my daughter. Before, I felt completely trapped by my body. Now, I want to make up for lost time.”
Throughout his transformation, Brandon decided to document his journey on social media, notably TikTok, to offer realistic insights and inspire others facing similar struggles. He’s quick to dispel the myth that medical intervention is a miracle cure. “Yes, the injections helped curb my appetite, but changing habits was vital. I wish more people were honest about the realities of losing weight—it can feel very lonely.”
Brandon’s commitment extended to gradually increasing his Mounjaro dosage alongside his physical activity: beginning with 2.5mg for two months, then 5mg for a further four months, before his most recent adjustment to 7.5mg. This measured approach aligns with clinical guidance aimed at maximising benefits while minimising side effects.
As he approaches his target and continues to lose weight, Brandon remains resolute in his advocacy. “I think Mounjaro could be a game-changer, but it works best with a supportive lifestyle. I want people to know they can come out the other side—and that help is available.”
Brandon’s example serves as both a cautionary tale and an uplifting message: weight loss is rarely straightforward or easy, but with persistence, support and the right interventions, profound transformation is possible.
