📢 **Caerleon’s Hero on Two Wheels! 🚴♂️🇬🇧**

Local legend and veteran Tim Bishop just wrapped up an incredible feat yet again! For the fifth year in a row, Tim cycled a whopping 100 miles around Caerleon, all in the name of charity. With his unique blend of historical flair and community spirit, Tim set off at sunrise, donning his great grandfather’s war helmet and riding a vintage WWII bicycle. 🎖️🕰️
This isn’t just any ride; it’s a heartfelt tribute and fundraising effort for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. After serving in the army for 24 years, Tim pedals on to support those affected by conflict and keep alive the memory of fallen heroes. Did you know? 300 brave souls left Tim’s village during the First World War, and his ride honours those who never made it home.

Throughout the 12-hour ride, Tim had plenty of company! Friends, community members, and fellow veterans—some who served alongside Tim in Afghanistan—joined him on the route. Members from the Caerleon cycling group and the Newport Social Cycle Club also hopped on for a few laps. 🚴♂️🤝
The town came alive, with a Royal British Legion station set up at Ye Olde Bull Inn. Poppy Appeal goodies, face painting, live tunes from local bands, and even a stunning display of WWII vehicles added to the vibrant atmosphere. 🎶🚙🌺
Tim’s dedication has raised over £800 this year on JustGiving, and that’s not all! He and his granddaughter Lexi have been busy raising funds by selling poppies as well. 🌟

Here’s to Tim Bishop—a true community hero keeping the spirit of remembrance and camaraderie alive. 🌍❤️
