A shocking dashcam reveal: Former Marine Paul Doyle has confessed to ploughing his car into a cheering Liverpool crowd, damping the club’s Premier League celebrations. Just when his trial was about to commence, Doyle, 54, did a U-turn in court, pleading guilty to 31 offences.

What the dashcam footage exposed was chilling: a visibly agitated Doyle navigating through Liverpool’s Water Street and Dale Street. Instead of waiting for people to pass, he accelerated, causing chaos among jubilant fans. More than 100, including young children, were injured in his rampage.
His plea included counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, wounding, dangerous driving, and affray. This dramatic shift came after neighbours shared insights into Doyle’s background, painting a picture of a man whose actions have left a deep scar on his community.

Chief Crown Prosecutor Sarah Hammond confirmed Doyle’s deliberate intent, saying he drove forcefully through a joyful celebration. “Today’s convictions bring a measure of justice. Paul Doyle has finally acknowledged his brutal actions on what should have been a day of citywide cheer,” says Hammond.

Shockingly, 134 people felt the impact of his actions, with victims as young as six months old. Liverpool, however, stands strong and united. The city’s resilience shines through, as emergency services and the public band together to support those affected.
As Liverpool waits for sentencing on 15 and 16 December, Doyle remains in custody. There’s no doubt – this tragic decision to drive through a sea of joy has transformed celebration into a harrowing memory. Here’s hoping justice brings some comfort to the victims and their families.
Stay strong, Liverpool! 🌟
