🚨 Tragic News from London 🚨
The Met Police have opened a murder inquiry after the tragic death of 43-year-old Michael John Edwards from Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Michael was hospitalised in a life-threatening condition following an alleged assault in Southwark in the early hours of 13th September. Sadly, he passed away on 17th September.
Detectives are working tirelessly to uncover the truth behind this heartbreaking incident. Our hearts go out to Michael’s family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Thankfully, they are being supported by specialist officers who are ensuring they have the help and guidance needed.
In connection with this case, Lewis Macleod, 36, from Sunderland, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm. His charges are currently under review by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The events of that night are still under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward to help bring those responsible to justice. It’s a community effort to ensure justice is served, and every little piece of information counts.
