πββοΈ Jeremiah Azu Opens Up About World Championships Hurdle π

Cardiff’s speedster Jeremiah Azu is staying positive despite a tough break at the Tokyo World Championships. After clinching fourth in his 100m semi-final with a time of 10.05 seconds, Azu admits it’s back to the drawing board if he wants to snag those outdoor medals. π―
It was tough watching from the sidelines as teammate Zharnel Hughes snatched the spot to advance. Yet, Azu keeps his spirits high, feeling proud of his indoor success where he conquered the 60m World Championship title this season. π

Reflecting on his Tokyo stride, Azu says, βI think I got out great, transitioned well, held my form. But against the best in the world, you need to be going nine seconds. Ultimately, I fell short there.β Despite the tough competition, Azu stays focused on his upcoming relay and plans to enjoy some downtime exploring Tokyo with family. π―π΅
The 100m final saw a blazing finish from Jamaicaβs Oblique Seville at 9.77 seconds, while Britain’s hopes were dashed as Hughes faced a similar fate in his semi-final.

Azuβs resilience and sportsmanship shine through: “I’m never one to hope anyone doesn’t do well… I gave it my best, but my best wasn’t good enough.” With determination and a positive mindset, weβre excited to see what the future holds for this rising star! π #TeamAzu #KeepPushing #Athletics
