In an all-too-familiar scenario, police raids and drugs weren’t just on the telly for Dylan Davies – they were part of his upbringing. But, as it turns out, it’s no excuse! The 24-year-old from Merthyr Tydfil recently found himself in front of a judge after police found a stash of crack cocaine and cocaine worth more than £15,000 at his home.

Police paid him a visit on June 26, and what they found was startling: a green bag with mysterious white rocks, another bag full of even more, and scales with powdery remnants. Oh, and £300 cash just lying around! Unsurprisingly, the authorities weren’t buying his claim that the drugs were just for personal use, especially since he wouldn’t reveal his phone’s PIN.

In court, it was revealed that Davies has quite the record, including past drug-related offences and even assaulting emergency workers. Despite his troubled history and a difficult upbringing, Judge Simon Mills reminded him that his actions were choices with inevitable consequences.
Dylan’s now facing 44 months in prison. His lawyer mentioned that Dylan dreams of working on the railways and being a better dad to his little daughter—but first, he’ll need to serve his time.
