Our favourite football icon, David Beckham, was caught in a whirlwind back in the day with some controversial emails nearly costing him a knighthood. 😬 Those infamous messages, allegedly sent back in 2017, reportedly included a few unfiltered thoughts about the honours committee, and some pointed comments on opera singer Katherine Jenkins. Beckham’s rep at the time, however, dismissed these as misleading and out of context.
Fast forward to now, and it seems all’s well that ends well! 🎉 Beckham was finally recognised in King Charles’ Birthday Honours List, acknowledging his immense contributions to sport and charity. Feeling humbled by the accolade, Beckham shared, “I’m so lucky to do the work that I do, and I’m grateful to get this recognition.”
Adding to the celebration, Victoria Beckham took to social media to shower her husband with love, calling him her “knight in shining armour” (now officially, Sir David Beckham!). 💞🥰
