🚨 Transfer Update: Swansea City was on the hunt for new defensive talent but hit a snag on the deadline day. Their hopes of snagging Chelsea’s teen sensation Harrison Murray-Campbell on loan have been dashed. Chelsea decided not to release the 19-year-old, leaving the Swans in a bit of a tight spot for defensive options.

With West Ham loanee Kaelan Casey already out the door and whispers of Ricardo Santos looking for pastures new, the pressure is on. Swansea’s manager, Vitor Matos, has been vocal about needing more options at the back and this move would’ve bolstered his squad. They did manage a couple of signings though: Joel Ward has joined the ranks and there’s versatility in Ishe Samuels-Smith, currently with them on loan from Chelsea. Another new face is young goalkeeper Joe Collins from Bohemians, who’s set to work with the academy with a contract running until 2027.

As the window slams shut, the only confirmed deadline day addition seems to be Leo Walta from Swedish club IK Sirius. Fingers crossed this line-up can take on the challenges of the second half of the season!
Keep following for more updates and let’s see how the Swans will navigate the rest of the campaign! 🦢⚽️
