Residents in Abergele had a bit of a scare today after a Facebook post from the police caused some confusion! 🚧
Initially, North Wales Police announced that the A547 Bridge Street was closed due to a fire. Naturally, this led to a flurry of concern among locals, with people worried about the safety of their loved ones and properties. 😟
However, the post was quickly updated to clarify the actual cause: an electrical issue—not a fire. So, while the road remains closed between St George Street and the Gwindy Pub, everybody can breathe a little easier knowing there’s no fire hazard.
Police have apologised for the mix-up and asked everyone to steer clear of the area while they sort things out. Thanks for your patience and stay safe, folks! 🙏
