Heartbreaking news as we remember Mitch Middleton, a true warrior from Tamworth, who passed away peacefully at the age of 28. Mitch, who was battling brain cancer, had an incredible dream: he wished to see his 29th birthday. Despite the efforts of his loving family, friends, and nearly 13,000 generous souls who helped raise almost £250,000 for private treatment, Mitch’s time came in the early hours of September 17th.

In his characteristic ‘Mitchell style,’ he left a heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported him, expressing profound gratitude right until the end. “Thank you to every single person out there that tried to save me. See you all on the other side,” he wrote, ensuring he had the final word.

His girlfriend, Amelia, shared the news with an emotional message, remembering Mitch not only as a fighter but as someone who brought endless joy and laughter into the lives of those who knew him. She promised more details about his funeral soon and acknowledged the immense support they received on this difficult journey.

Earlier, despite a poor NHS prognosis and limited treatment options, Mitch remained hopeful, bravely undergoing NHS-provided radiotherapy and sharing appeals around Christmas 2024 for what he called his “only hope” — private treatment.
Mitch’s story touched countless hearts, and his courage and charisma will forever light up our memories. Join us in celebrating his life and legacy, and feel free to share your memories and thoughts in the comments below. Love from Amelia x.
