🚨 Bold Burglary in Aberystwyth 🚨

From London to Wales, Christopher Cole’s audacious overnight heist at CEF Electrical in Aberystwyth has left everyone talking. The 48-year-old made the long drive from Hackney with a mission: smash, grab, and go, pocketing £30,000 in high-power electrical tools. 🛠️💰

🚔 Police Response: On an early Monday morning, the shop owner arrived to a scene straight out of a crime thriller—a smashed front door and cut alarm wires. Quick on the case, Dyfed-Powys Police secured the grounds, gathering forensic evidence and sifting through CCTV footage.
🔍 The Key Clues: Footage showed a vehicle arriving at 11.30pm, implicating Cole’s involvement, while DNA evidence further sealed the deal. As the police pieced everything together, they tracked him down in Rugby, England, with the help of Hampshire Police.
Officers arrested Cole, bringing him back to Aberystwyth for questioning. He didn’t keep them waiting, admitting to the burglary on December 22. Cole’s actions have left a significant impact on this local business, and now the community anticipates his sentencing at Swansea Crown Court on January 30, 2026.
PC Joe Roberts had this to say: “This was a serious offence committed by a man who thought he could travel into our force area and target a local business for his own gain. We’re committed to showing that crossing county lines doesn’t put you above the law.”
